Is Vilkkanundo free to use?

Yes, completely. Posting ads, browsing listings, and chatting with buyers/sellers is 100% free. There are no listing fees or commissions.

How do I create an account?

Click 'Sign up' in the top right. You can register with your email and password, or sign in instantly with your Google account.

What is Aadhaar verification?

Aadhaar verification confirms your identity using your Aadhaar card number and an OTP sent to your registered mobile. Verified users get a trust badge visible to all buyers and sellers.

How do I post an ad?

Log in and click 'Post Ad'. Choose a category, fill in the details, upload photos, set a price, and submit. Your ad will be reviewed within 1 hour and go live once approved.

Why is my ad pending?

All ads go through a quick review to check for prohibited items and policy violations. This typically takes under an hour.

What items are not allowed?

Weapons, drugs, counterfeit goods, stolen property, adult content, live animals, and government-regulated items are prohibited. See our Terms of Service for the full list.

How many photos can I add?

You can add up to 10 photos per ad. High-quality, clear photos significantly improve your chances of selling quickly.

How do I contact a seller?

Open any listing and click 'Chat with seller'. You must be logged in to send messages.

Is it safe to buy from unverified sellers?

Unverified sellers aren't necessarily unsafe, but we recommend preferring Aadhaar-verified sellers for higher-value purchases. Always meet in a public place.

Can I see the seller's phone number?

Seller phone numbers are only visible to Aadhaar-verified buyers. This protects sellers from spam while keeping buyers who've verified their identity in the loop.

How do I report a suspicious listing?

Open the listing and use the report button, or contact us through the support form. We investigate all reports within 24 hours.

What should I do if I was scammed?

Contact our support team immediately with all details. We'll assist you and ban the offending account. For financial fraud, also file a complaint at cybercrime.gov.in.

How do I reset my password?

Click 'Forgot password?' on the login page. We'll email you a reset link valid for 1 hour.

Can I have both a Google and email login?

If you sign up with Google and later want to add a password, use 'Forgot password?' to set one. Both logins will then work with the same account.

How do I delete my account?

Contact us through the support form with your email address and we'll process the deletion within 3 business days.
